I'm the mastermind behind Yanny Letters LLC and this small biz has been years in the making. Growing up, my mom was an avid crafter and often picked up new crafting hobbies all the time. This led to having a bonus room full of craft supplies including beads, scrapbooks, stamps, paint, ribbons, quilts, and everything in between.

The nickname Yanny originated in elementary school when I was babysitting for my church's family retreat. One of the kids couldn't say my name correctly and decided that Yanny was easier. Years later in college, I created an Instagram account to document my hobby hyper-fixation at the time which was calligraphy and hand lettering, hence the name Yanny Letters. I was making greeting cards, birthday banners, and wedding signs for anyone that would let me!

In 2025, I discovered ribbon flower lei making, and that's where my heart (& hands) have happily stayed! I began sharing tutorials on social media, growing a community of crafters who wanted to learn and create alongside me. Today, along with handmade ribbon lei, I also offer DIY kits so you can create your own! Yanny Letters is all about bringing a little extra joy to life's most special moments.

When I'm not making lei, I'm teaching assistive technology and travel skills to kids that are blind, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers, and exploring the world with my husband!
